Many people are confused whether they should update their vehicle lights from halogen to Led OR not.

Both halogen and led lights have some advantage and some disadvantages as well.

First lets understand the basic structure of these lights which will also help in deciding which lights are best for your vehicle…

The basic structure of halogen lights include halogen gas inside of the bulb, also there is use of filament. It is an Incandescent light. Whenever the current is passed through the tungsten then filament gets lighten up and produces light yellow colour throw.

The basic structure of LED lights is the use of semi-conductor diode. When the current is supplied, these semi-conductor diode emits photons which finally produces white light or you can say light blue light.

Now lets understand the major differences, advantages and disadvantages of both of these lights.

●Led lights will not get dim/dull easily and not fade. The light and throw will be same throughout its life span in most of the cases.

●The power consumption of Led lights is less then halogen lights. It consumes 7-20 watts of power per hour

●In case of snowfall, rainy and fog whether led lights does not perform well as these led lights is of reflective nature, they reflect and don’t throw the light on the roads.

●Led lights also improves overall looks of the vehicle

2)HALOGEN LIGHTS

●On the other hand halogen is a much softer light so you can easily see the nearby objects clearly but for far distances you have to face difficulty as it will not be clearly visible.

●The average lifespan of halogen lights are around 1200-2000 hours

●Halogen lights are cheaper in price then Led lights and its installation is also easy and fast.

●Halogen lights get dim/dull over the time the throw of lights gradually gets decreased

●The power consumption of halogen lights is more then led lights. It consumes 35-500 watts of power per hour.

●In case of snowfall, rainy and fog whether halogen lights performs well as these don’t reflect and throws the light directly on the roads.

●In halogen lights, the looks of the vehicle is hampered as it looks outdated and very simple.

●Nowadays even car manufacturers are giving LED lights setup in their vehicles

●Main thing is to choose better brand, price and specification as per your need

Now decide yourself what suits you and what not as for some people halogen is best and for some LED works the best.

Also get your work done from a reputed place, experienced workers and install the lights in your vehicle without any wire cutting or any other damage. Otherwise the warranty of the vehicle can be harmed also while taking insurance claims the insurance companies can reject the claim or damage of the vehicle.

Ask for written warranty of the lights for minimum 1-Year at least.

You can also purchase these type of lights from car company dealers or service center like MARUTI SUZUKI, Hyundai, TATA or any other car brand.

Hyundai is launching its first hydrogen based car named as Hyundai NEXO. Lets explore its price, specifications, features and much more…

●The hydrogen in the car act as a generator. The hydrogen not runs the car, it only provides electricity to the electric motor and that motor drives the car. Like in hybrid cars also the electric motor runs the car most of the time.

●The most interesting thing in this car is that the hydrogen can be fully filled in around 5 minutes only and you can drive around 600 km in that full tank of hydrogen. Which is quite impressive and good range as well as fast refueling.

●The main drawbacks of electric cars is that it takes huge time to charge the vehicle like 5-6 hours which is quite high time and the range is also less in most of the electric vehicles. So the hydrogen based cars may take over them but it all depends on the price of these hydrogen based cars.

●There is no noise from the engine of the car and also less/no pollution.

●Price Estimation- The exact price of the car has not been revealed in India but it may be more expensive then HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 Electric as hydrogen cars will be expensive than normal electric cars.

●The normal Hyundai NEXO Petrol is priced at around 65 Lakhs approx. (Ex-Showroom) so the hydrogen one will be obviously more than 65 lakhs.

There may be some changes in the Indian specifications and US Specifications of the car.

TOYOTA NEW WATER ENGINE ALL DETAILS

Toyota is not interested in following the trend of other car companies but they make their own trend. Lets explore TOYOTA NEW WATER ENGINE FULL DETAILS…

Toyota’s main focus is only on Innovation. Because of this innovative approach only Toyota launched world’s first hybrid electric car in 1990 itself named as Toyota Prius.

But there were both positives and negatives in Toyota Prius.

Toyota founded some flaws in this hybrid electric engine which were:-

●EVs are considered eco-friendly as they emit zero carbon emissions. But to charge these vehicles we need electricity which comes from burning coal, Diesel and natural gases.

●The batteries in EVs are mostly made of lithium, cobalt or nickel. Because of which more and more fossil fuel is getting burned and harming the environment.

So EV vehicles are not saving the environment that much and hence Toyota discontinued its car “Prius” and focused more on improving its combustion engine cars only.

Another option is of Hydrogen based cars but it also have some flaws like Hydrogen is highly inflammable gas which increases the risk of blasting also. It can also create fires and explosions.

But Toyota discovered that pure hydrogen is dangerous but what if we convert it into impure form then things can work in much better way and nature of the hydrogen can also be changed.

Earlier also some people have tried to make cars with which can run only on water. In 1980 a person named Stanley Meyers from United States tried to make car that can run on water and was successful also in this, This car run about 180kms on 4-lires of water. But when other car manufacturers got to know about this they killed him. After that no one was able to find that car and that design or strategy.

Many other people tried water engines but there was some or other problems and flaws connected with it. Like in 2018 in India college students from Nagpur modified a car to run on limestone and water.

There are 2 major problems in this water based engines.

●The combination of water and car fuel tank is irrevelant as whenever the water will come in contact with metal it will either rust it or destroy it.

●If calcium carbide dissolved with water, Calcium oxide and acetylene gas will be formed because of which will destroy the fuel tank.

Now Toyota worked hard to crack this as they want to make water based engines from a very long time but they got failed at every movement. But Toyota never lose hope they keep searching for different ideas.

Now Toyota collected all positive things of all the engines like EV engine, Hydrogen engine and Water engine.

So Toyota made full set up of hydrogen fuel station directly in the car, no need to visit fuel stations for hydrogen. Because of which instead of inflammable hydrogen there will be pure water.

That means it will be combination of both water and Hydrogen which will also be safe to use.

Can water engine replace EV engines??

This idea of water engines by Toyota is at conceptual stage only and is just a prototype. If everything goes right TOYOTA will very soon launch its first water fueled car.

The affordability of these car will also decide how much competition it can give to EV cars.

By this Toyota also gives message to all that everyone have to face consequences and struggle in life. We have to face failures in life instead of hiding from failures. We should better try to figure out the solution of the problem and not of losing out our mind.

THAR 5 DOOR NEW FEATURES

Mahindra is going to launch THAR 5 Door which may be named as Armada. Let’s explore THAR 5 DOOR NEW FEATURES which are different from regular 3-Door THAR:-

EXTERIOR CHANGES

●Now there will be fully LED headlight unit in top model which was just a Yellow Halogen Headlamp earlier.

●There is also feature of front parking sensors.

●360 Degree View Camera.

●You get a good sized sunroof in hardtop variant of the car, it is not a panoramic roof but still is most demanding feature. The size of the sunroof is like of SCORPIO-N.

●New design of the grille which looks more broad and long.

●There will be 2 engine options:-2.2L Diesel Engine and 2.0L mStallion petrol engine. The power and torque will increase from the normal 3-Door THAR.

●Latest style diamond cut alloy wheels of 19-Inch (255-60-R19) in top model and 18-Inch basic style wheels in its base model or middle model.

●The placement of door handle of rear door is in sideways style like MARUTI Suzuki Swift Rear Door.

●Earlier the fuel lid used to open by the key only but now it will be automatic and can be opened from inside the car only by a button.

●Rear wiper and defogger

●Different styled tail light

●Both options are available 4 by 4 and 4 by 2 (RWD) also.

●No ADAS Features is there in the car.

INTERIOR CHANGES

●Dual tone interior of Chocolate Brown colour and Black colour like SCORPIO-N.

●It has proper 3 seats in the middle row with an armrest also in it.

●The colour of the seat is in dark black colour and is of leather material. The space, comfort and seating position had improved a lot

●Auto-Dimming IRVMs

●Touch screen infotainment system like XUV 400

●Steering wheel is like Scorpio-N moreover in Z6 variant of Scorpio-N

●The Instrument cluster is also now fully digital like XUV 700

●Keyless entry and push button start

●Rear AC vents

●Type C port for charging mobile phones

●The suspension will be most probably like the Scorpio-N only.

●Good boot space then earlier 3 Door THAR.

●Safety have also been improved as there will be 6 airbags now and earlier also THAR scored 5 star safety ratings in crash test

●Most probably it will come in 5-Seater option only and not in 7-seater option

●Colour options are:- Napoli Black, Red Rage, Galaxy Grey, Aqua Marine and Everest White.

●But in my personal opinion old THAR will be much better offroader then this 5 door THAR because of its weight, length and driving dynamics but the comfort and power of the 5 door THAR will me much better always.

●Now THAR will be much of a Family oriented car with all necessary features and comfort.

The length, width and height of the car is Insane. It now looks more Bulky, Bigger and Aggressive than usual

Now it looks more like a Jeep Wrangler

●The expected estimated price may be around 15 Lakhs-25 Lakhs Ex showroom (Approx.)

The car is expected to launch in the middle of 2024.

●The demand and hype of the car is increasing day by day in India. Thar 3-Door is also a very successful product of Mahindra. The major problem which may arise is about the waiting period as in Mahindra cars there is a huge waiting period like in Mahindra XUV 700. Usually these waiting period is about 6 months to 1-1.5 years which is a lot time. People can’t wait that long so if you are really interested in this car book it in first lot only whenever the bookings open.

Also after that the price of the car can also increase as it was observed earlier also Mahindra increased the price of XUV 700 and Scorpio-N AFTER some time of the launch.

HATCHBACKS

1) MARUTI SUZUKI IGNIS Alpha AMT- Ignis have a better suspension then other small hatchbacks. Mileage is about 14-16 in city and 18-20 on highway. But have less sales and resale value also.

2) TATA TIAGO ZXA Plus AMT- Safest hatchback having 4-star crash test ratings. But gear shifting of Tiago is not as smooth as Hyundai. Mileage in city is about 12-13kmpl and on highway its about 15-17 kmpl.

3) MARUTI SUZUKI WAGONR ZXI PLUS comes with 1.2L petrol variant producing 82BHP and 113NM of torque. ARAI Mileage is about 18-20kmpl.

4) RENAULT KWID CLIMBER AMT-KWID have a stylish and unique automatic gear which is round in shape like a knob. It also has better space and ground clearance but low resale value and less after sales services then Maruti Suzuki.

5) MARUTI SUZUKI BALENO- Premium interior and exteriors with cool features like 360 degree camera, heads up display and much more. Baleno have 1.2L petrol engine producing 90BHP and 113NM of torque.

6) MARUTI SUZUKI SWIFT ZXI AMT-Most popular hatchback. Swift have a good resale value and low service cost as well. But is not that great in terms of safety.

7) HYUNDAI GRAND i10 SPORTZ AMT- NIOS have Smooth gear shifts in Automatic. It comes with 4 cylinder 1.2L engine having 12-14 in city and 18-20 on highway.

8) MARUTI SUZUKI CELERIO ZXI PLUS AMT- Best fuel efficiency in both manual as well as automatic transmission having mileage of 15-16 kmpl in city and 22-25 kmpl on highway. It comes with 1.0L petrol engine

9) HYUNDAI i20- i20 have Better engine refinement and overall fit and finish. You may get mileage of 10-13kmpl in city and 15-17 on highway.

10) MARUTI SUZUKI ALTO K10 VXI PLUS AMT-The cheapest automatic car available in the market but have less cabin space and seating.

COMPACT SEDANS

1) TATA TIGOR XMA AMT-Tigor AMT have 1.2L petrol engine producing 84Bhp and good boot space of 419L.

2) MARUTI SUZUKI SWIFT DZIRE VXI have a mileage of 14-15 kmpl in city and 18-20 kmpl on highway but is not much safer but is selling in good numbers. Also have less service cost then Honda amaze and tata Tigor.

3) HONDA AMAZE is a good family car comes with CVT AUTOMATIC GEARBOX 12-13 in city and 17-18 in highway.

ELECTRIC CARS

1) MG COMET PLAY VARIANT- Comet is a 4-seater Micro Electric car producing 42Bhp and 110Nm of torque. It charges in approx. 7 hours and have 230 km of range.

2) TATA TAIGO EV XT- It is a hatchback style car producing 73Bhp and 114Nm of torque. Tiago have many variants in EV with different ranges. Charging time is approx. 7-8 hours.
