NEW TRAFFIC RULES AND REGULATION IN 2024

Some new rules have been introduced in 2024 and some have changes in the earlier rules and regulations. Let’s check these NEW TRAFFIC RULES AND REGULATION IN 2024 and various changes:-

First rules and regulation is related to Overloading in 2-Wheelers. Earlier there were only overloading rules and regulations related to commercial vehicles like Truck, Tractors etc..

Now overloading in Bike, Scooter and Scooty is not allowed whether it is related to goods or persons as some people carry more then two people in their 2 wheeler.

The penalties or Challan for this crime is of Rs 2,000 and the driving license will also get suspended for about 3-Months.

Next rules and regulation is related to displaying Applied For (A/F) in new vehicles. Until now there was no rule regarding this but from now on there will be a challan of Rs4,500 on this.

When people buy there new vehicle, the dealer or showroom does not give number plate on the time of delivery but now in most of the cases the showroom have to give the number plate on the delivery day itself.

Next rules and regulation is about not obeying the orders of Traffic Authorities and staff. It means that many people don’t stop there vehicle when traffic police tries to stop them and try to escape from them. It also covers misbehaving and not obeying them. There is a challan of Rs 2,000 on this.

Next rules and regulation is related to minor riding and driving, its for children below 18 years of age who drive or ride. There are few changes then earlier rules and regulations related to minor riding and driving.

There are 5 types of penalties in this case:-

1)Minor Challan- Rs5,000

2)Owner Challan-Rs25,000

3)Legal Action- May be sentenced to 3 Years of Prison

4)Registration of the vehicle may get cancelled for 1 year.

5)The minor who got caught will not be eligible for the driving license till 25 years of age.

Next rules and regulation is that now according to Section 183, 184, 185, 189, 190, 194C, 194D, 194E of Motor Vehicles Act, Now officials or Authorities can also seize or suspend other documents of the vehicle like Insurance, RC, Driving License and much more.

Next Rules and regulation is related to headlight of the vehicle. The headlight of the vehicle should be in working condition and the bulb should not be fused as it will make it difficult to drive at night because of which more and more accidents will take place.

Next rules and regulation is related to the helmet strap for 2-Wheelers. There is a challan of around Rs1,000 for not wearing helmet and if you are wearing helmet but had not closed the strap of the helmet then also you may be fined for Rs1,000 According to section 194D of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Next rules and regulation is related to signal jump by the vehicles. This rule was implemented earlier also but now it has become more strict now the fine is from Rs1,000-5000.

Earlier there was 500-1,000Rs challan for over-speeding and rash driving but now you have to pay around 2,000Rs fine for Medium and heavy vehicles. For Light Motor Vehicle its about 1,000Rs challan.

For Drink and Drive earlier there was less amount of penalties and fines but now if you got caught by the authorities you have to bear challan of around Rs10,000 and 6 months of prisonment.

In some states sunshades and curtains on car windows are also not allowed as there is no visibility of the passengers.

Mahindra is going to launch new updated version of XUV 700 in 2024 which is quite different from old XUV 700. Mahindra launched XUV 700 on 12 august 2021 since then only demand of the car have increased massively. Lets have a look on TOP 10 FEATURES OF 2024 MAHINDRA XUV 700.

First change is in the seating capacity now XUV 700 comes with 6 seater option also which have captain seats in the second row which will improve the comfort of the passengers. But this facility is available in AX7 and AX7L variants. Other cars of the same segment like MG Hector, Tata Safari have this feature from long time. It will improve the comfort of the rear passengers a lot.

Next change is in the colour scheme of the car. New colour option have been launched that was most demanding colour since the launch of the car which is Napoli Black colour. In this you get fully glossy black grille and alloy wheels as well which improves the car looks, makes it more stunning then usual. But this colour option is available in only AX7 and AX7L variants. It also have some black elements in interior like Roof, AC vents etc. You also have option for Dual-Tone colour schemes.

Earlier there was mid-night black colour which looks like dark blue in the day and dark in the night. But this time it’s a pure Glossy Black colour, as in India most of the people prefer only two colours white and black.

Another feature which is added in the car is Ventilated Front Seats which was a must needed feature in this segment cars. Now it also comes with memory function of the ORVMs also. Previously it have only memory seats function but now it also have memory ORVMs function by which different drivers of the car can set the ORVM according to their style by just pressing a button.

One more new addition to the new XUV 700 is Auto-Dimming IRVMs which was most basic feature and highly needed.

WELCOME GREETING- It’s a customised welcome greeting which the car says whenever you start the car.
TOLL DIARY- It connects to your fastag account and shows your balances there and also provide you estimates of the toll taxes for your next trip.
ASK MAHINDRA- if you need any kind of technical help regarding the vehicle you can directly call the customer car from the car infotainment screen itself.
FOTA (Firmware Over-the-air) capabilities, Easy updates, Location based services, Vehicle status Remote functions, Third party apps and much more.

The waiting period of the car had reduced as the production of the car have increased.

There is approx. 4 weeks waiting period for MX/AX3/AX5 variants and approx. 8-12 weeks waiting period for AX7/AX7L variants.

Waiting period was the biggest problem faced by the people who wanted to buy XUV 700 because of which they shifted to other brands like TATA, MG, HYUNDAI etc. But now there is some relaxation in the waiting period.

There is no change in engine and powertrains of the car, It still have that 2.0L Petrol Engine producing 197 Bhp and 280 Nm of Torque and 2.2L diesel engine producing 182 Bhp and 420 Nm of Torque.

NEW KTM DUKE 125 AND DUKE 390

Duke is known for its performance and looks. In India First Duke was launched in 2012.

KTM is launching new KTM Duke 125 and Duke 390. The design of the new duke is totally different from previous duke.

Now there is new chassis and new engine option also which is different from earlier DUKE.

First of all the Ex-Showroom price of new DUKE 390 is about 3.11 Lakhs which is Rs13,000 more then previous DUKE 390 but its worth it.
